Delicious, easy and super healthy meals

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

Planning meals is not an easy task, specially when each member of the family has different taste or needs; like my husband a few years ago found out that his cholesterol was high, that was an eye opening for me because I thought our family meals were pretty healthy but definitely not healthy enough so I had to pay more attention on what to buy and what to cook. I did some research and found out the importance of reading labels; the same product can be cholesterol free or not depending on the manufacturer, in the beginning I would stay quite a while inside a supermarket just reading all the labels and trying to find the best brands to get but that extra time was very rewarding because I would only bring home good choices for my husband. I also found some good recipes that I keep making over and over again, my favorites are the Pecan-Crusted Salmon and the Artichoke & Lemon Chicken with Capers from that 21 Day Sugar Detox Cookbook. That cookbook has lots of great recipes worth trying.

A friend of mine wrote a cookbook on how to cook for $1, I know it's hard to believe you can make something delicious for only one dollar but she proofs it's possible, she has lots of great ideas on low budget meals that is really worth learning, the cookbook is called "Cooking for $1" by Aurelie Barrial, take a look and you will be surprised by her tips.
